Privacy Policy

SmartCV ("we", "us") operates the website smartcv.lk, which lets you create and download CVs. This policy explains what personal data we collect and how we use it.

Data we collect

  • Account data: your name and email address, and either a password (stored only as a secure hash) or your Google account profile if you sign in with Google.
  • CV content: the information you enter into your CVs — contact details, work experience, education, skills and similar.
  • Technical data: a session cookie used to keep you signed in.

How we use your data

  • To create your account and sign you in.
  • To store your CVs and let you edit and download them.
  • To operate, secure and improve the service.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Where your data is stored

Your account and CV data are stored with our hosting provider, Supabase. Access is restricted so that you can only see your own data. If you sign in with Google, Google processes your login according to their own privacy policy.

Your rights

  • You can view and edit your data at any time from your dashboard.
  • You can delete any CV, which removes it from our database.
  • You can request deletion of your account by contacting us (see below).
